our more recent initiatives is in developing Special
Economic Zones (SEZs). Being designated an SEZ provides
tremendous tax benefits to the companies located in
them, as well as input cost benefits for extended periods
of time. The tax breaks available under the SEZ scheme
include Service Tax waiver, VAT waiver and Income Tax
Exemption to name a few.

Covering over 70 acres, this will
be one of Pune’s finest IT business parks. Designated
as a SEZ, Techzone’s SEZ area will be 52 acres,
while the rest of the development will house non-SEZ
activities. The development has been designed to implement
a number of ‘green’ strategies, including
an integrated wastewater treatment plant while conserving
and utilizing the natural streams running through the
site. The world-class office buildings, are oriented to maximize views of the woods
and streams surrounding the development. The IT park
also has a state-of-the-art training centre.
The campus is supported by a number
of facilities and related uses including a hotel, service
apartments, food courts and retail stores.
